History Repeated (Poem)

By Rachel Barnard

history repeated by Rachel Barnard

A computer

Cold and calculating

A faulty hard drive

Documents deleted

Viruses killing

Spam cluttering

A mind

Cold and calculating

A faulty morality crusade

Memories eliminated

Hate destroying

Facts muddying

A nation

Cold and calculating

A faulty justice system

Races obliterated

Earthquakes humbling

Greed saturating

A world

Cold and calculating

A faulty communion

Decency deceased

Swords severing

Misplacing ambition

A collapse

Information lost

Individuality forsaken

History forgotten

Higher power rebuked.
