Walking on the Sand

Walk with me,

Come with me and

Let me show you all the

    Things I see.

    Close your eyes

  As each footstep brings

Sand between

Your toes.

Don't stop until you

  Reach the edge,

   Cold water washing

    Away the sand

  Beneath your feet.

     Open your eyes to see

The sand

Trickle down to

  Chase the waves

   Which turn around

    And capture

   The sand

Dragging it away.

Walk along the water's edge

Feeling your foot sink

   Into the sand

    As you raise

   Your foot you find

  Sand on your feet

And a footprint

In the sand.

Water fills the hole

  And soon

         It

           Is

                           Gone.
